Analyze: This is an acrostic poem titled " Los Angeles Lakers is Awesome. Los Angeles Lakers is a team of National Basketball Association and also my favorite team. They does not play well this season and  has no chance to play playoffs. But I would always support them; that's why I wrote this poem to express my passion for Lakers. The mood is full of passion power.

The poem told that our team lost the game, and did not enter the playoffs. But we did not give up, we trained more, and two super stars joined us. We were ready  to fight next season.

Simile was used in "Shoot the ball like the comet goes down", I used comet to describe the basketball. Comet is huge and spectacular, it shows the ambition of Lakers.

Hyperbole was used in "end up with five million push-ups" . It shows that Lakers did a large amount of training to get prepared for next season's games. 

This poem is powerful that tell people don't give up, you need to have enough confidence to handle things.

Acrostic#1 - Los Angeles Lakers is Awesome

Last night we lost the game,

Of course we got blamed.

Sorry, we also felt shamed.

Although we did not enter the playoffs, 

Not means we are going to give up.

Gathering together let’s prevent turn offs,

End up with five million push-ups.

Los Angeles is my hometown,

Enjoy foods like a clown,

Shoot the ball like the comet goes down.

Love came to our team as the leader,

Anthony joined us for an answer,

Kobe made me become stronger.

Everyday we trained near the river,

Revive next season as the Lakers,

Soon the hardness we will conquer.

I wish I could do a perfect act,

Sign up with Lakers another contract.

All of my teammates work so hard  ,

We have a fantastic shooting guard.

East teams please welcome us,

Smiling and singing we get on the team bus.

Okay we are ready to fight,

Man let’s run this town tonight.

Every second in this game will be highlights.

Acrostic#2 - Charry Caleb Wu

Clever boy starts from the bottom,

How cool I am when I play the drum.

April 13th is my birthday,

Radar system could not find my essay.

Rest for the whole day, I felt

You are coming down the hallway.

Charry is turning to Caleb,

After I graduated I became an actor.

Lighten that I can control my anger.

Emotion is always important to me,

Bring my stuff I would leave.

Welcome  here Mr. Wu,

Unless you learn some kungfu.

Free verse#1 – My future is never a dream

Do you like me that,

Keep my head down,

Under the sunshine.

Flow my sweat down the floor,

And never stop trying.

Do you like me that,

Even if be rejected

Million and million times.

But never stop pursuing

What  my dream is.

Because I do not care,

What others say who I am.

I would never forget,

What promises I made to myself.

How persistent I am,

When chasing toward love.

I know that,

My future is never a dream.

I am seriously dealing

With every single moment I have,

My heart was moving,

With the beat of hoping.

We are supposed to do.

What others criticize me.

On that airplane I will soon leave the place

I started to pack up and close the door

As time fly away I got a beautiful city

I thought about my memory near the shore

When will I see you again

What time can you feel my pain

When will you tell me you’re fine

I miss you so much tonight

It’s Chinese New Year of 2009

But now we were about a thousand miles away

I promise to give you a better life

I will study hard as possible as I can

On a summer midnight I’m thinking what to do

I’ll be back to China to see you

As I grow older I became a Canadian

But there is forever my hometown

When will I see you again

What time can you feel my pain

When will you tell me you’re fine

I miss you so much tonight

Analysis:This is a free verse named "My future is never a dream". My inspiration came from a Chinese old song. The theme of the poem is even if you were rejected million times, you still need to work hard because your future is coming, you need to use your time, and make yourself live with hope. Hope is the point of how we deal with our future.

A hyperbole was used in "million and million times", it shows that there would be many failures a person had to being through. Success is based on million- times failures.

It would tell people that hold every single moment they have to work, and you need to have hope to face your future. The mood is hopeful and has a strong emotion.

You are my treasure, my dream

For all of my life

I’ve been searching

What can I do to be taller

I need you, height

I dream about that

I can dunk as Jordan did

Win millions applause

Pretty girls would really into me

I could be handsome
